Dreamquill

Write down last night's dream and read what it means — through three lenses, side by side.

Coming soon to the App Store

Overview

Dreams fade within minutes of waking. Dreamquill lets you catch yours the moment you open your eyes: say it out loud or type it, and it is transcribed right on your iPhone. Then read it.

Most dream apps give you one answer from one dictionary. Dreamquill puts three readings of the same dream side by side, shows what research actually knows about the dreams people share, and leaves the last word with you — you are the authority on your own dream.

Three Ways to Read a Dream

Korean Dream Lore (Haemong)

What tradition sees in the image — lucky dreams, warning dreams, conception dreams, and the famous “reverse” dreams where a frightening image is read as good news. Presented as culture, not prediction.

Dream Psychology

What dream research links the image to — the worries, hopes and feelings of your waking life.

Jungian Psychology

Archetypes, and what the dream may be balancing in you.

What Research Knows

For typical dreams — being chased, falling, teeth falling out, flying, exams — Dreamquill shows how many people in published surveys say they have had the same dream at least once, with the source.

145 Painted Symbols

The symbol dictionary covers snakes, pigs, dragons, water, fire, teeth, the dead, exams, weddings and more — each with the details that change its meaning: a pig walking into your house, clear versus muddy water, a snake that bites.

Pig — Dreamquill symbol illustration

Pig

A pig walking into the house is a classic wealth dream in Korean lore.

Snake — Dreamquill symbol illustration

Snake

Whether it bites, coils or chases changes the reading.

Dragon — Dreamquill symbol illustration

Dragon

One of the best-known conception dreams (taemong).

Teeth — Dreamquill symbol illustration

Teeth

A typical dream — many people report it at least once.

Flying — Dreamquill symbol illustration

Flying

Another typical dream, read very differently by each lens.

Moon — Dreamquill symbol illustration

Moon

A night image tradition and Jung read in their own ways.

How It Works

1

Catch the dream

Speak it or type it as soon as you wake. Dictation runs on your iPhone with Apple’s on-device speech recognition.

2

Read it three ways

Korean dream lore, dream psychology and Jungian psychology, side by side — with typical-dream figures from published surveys where they apply.

3

Reflect

Reflection questions take you from the image, to your waking life, to one small step — and you mark which readings fit.

4

Look back

Your journal keeps every dream and reading. With Pro, Patterns shows the symbols that recur and the feelings your dreams carry over time.

More

Deep Reading

Apple Intelligence weaves your dream into one story, written on your iPhone by Apple’s on-device model. Three are included; Pro makes them unlimited.

Patterns

Recurring symbols, the feelings your dreams carry, and your dream profile compared with classic research norms.

Rewrite the Ending

For bad dreams: the imagery-rehearsal technique sleep researchers use — write a new ending and rehearse it while awake.

Morning Reminder

An optional local reminder each morning, in English, Korean or Japanese, to catch the dream before it fades.

Your Dreams Stay on Your iPhone

Dreamquill has no account and no server for your writing. Dreams, readings, your answers and deep readings are stored only in the app's own storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS data protection. Dictation uses Apple's on-device speech recognition, and deep readings are written by Apple's on-device model — nothing you write is uploaded, not to us and not to anyone.

What we do collect is anonymous usage analytics — which screens and features are used, never the text of a dream. Read the full details in our Privacy Policy.

Dreamquill Pro

Your purchase includes the journal, spoken capture, every three-lens reading, the symbol dictionary, the research facts and the reflection questions. The optional Dreamquill Pro subscription (monthly or yearly) adds unlimited deep readings, the Patterns tab, the nightmare rewrite exercise and journal export.

For Reflection

Dreamquill is for reflection and enjoyment. It is not medical or psychological advice, and traditional dream lore is a cultural reading, not a prediction. If nightmares are frequent or tied to something difficult you have lived through, please talk to a doctor or therapist.
