Need help with Dreamquill? Most questions are answered below. For anything else, we read and answer every email.
Common Questions
- How do I record a dream? On the Journal, tap Catch last night’s dream, then tap the microphone to speak it or simply type it. Dictation is transcribed on your iPhone, and you can correct the text before you tap Read my dream.
- Why is dictation unavailable? Dreamquill only uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition, so dictation works only in languages your iPhone can recognise offline. If your language is not supported offline, type the dream instead. Also check that microphone and speech recognition access are allowed in iOS Settings → Dreamquill.
- Why is the deep reading unavailable? The deep reading is written by Apple Intelligence on your iPhone. It needs an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence turned on in iOS Settings (and its model downloaded). The three-lens readings work on every iPhone.
- How many deep readings do I get? Three are included with the app. Dreamquill Pro makes them unlimited.
- What does Pro add? Unlimited deep readings, the Patterns tab, the nightmare rewrite exercise and journal export. The journal, dictation, every three-lens reading, the symbol dictionary, the research facts and the reflection questions come with the app.
- I bought Pro but it is locked on a new device. Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. Pro is tied to your Apple Account.
- How do I manage or cancel my subscription? Subscriptions are managed in your Apple Account settings (iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- How do I delete all my dreams? Open Settings in the app and tap Delete all dreams. Deleting the app also removes everything, because your dreams are stored only on your iPhone.
- Can I move my dreams to a new iPhone? Dreams are kept only on the device, with no account or cloud sync. With Pro, Export journal as text (Settings) lets you keep a copy.
- Is a reading a prediction? No. Traditional dream lore is presented as culture, and the psychology readings are prompts for reflection — not medical or psychological advice. If nightmares are frequent or tied to something difficult, please talk to a doctor or therapist.
