Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Pentarab for the use of Pizza Cutter. By downloading or using the app you accept them, so please read them first.

Pizza Cutter records a single short take with your iPhone camera, analyses it on the device for movement, applies the look preset and effects you chose, and produces a looping video you can save or share. Recording, analysis, editing and export all happen on your device.

Pentarab grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Pizza Cutter on Apple devices you own or control, for as long as you comply with these terms. The app itself, its presets, its effects, its artwork and its name stay Pentarab's property; the licence gives you the right to use the app, not to own any part of it.

Pizza Cutter is free to use, and free loops carry a watermark. The paid plan removes the watermark and unlocks the premium effects and premium preset menus. It is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription, an auto-renewing yearly subscription, or a one-time purchase. The price that applies to you is the one shown in the App Store, in your own currency, before you confirm anything.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account may be charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Subscriptions are managed — and cancelled — in your Apple ID settings, under Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• The one-time option is a single purchase, not a subscription: it does not renew, and there is nothing to cancel.
• Restoring purchases re-checks the entitlement held against your Apple Account, so a reinstall or a new device gets the plan back at no further charge.
• Cancellations and refund requests are handled by Apple under the App Store terms and refund policy. Pentarab cannot process a refund on Apple’s behalf, but will help you with a request.
• Promotional and offer codes are redeemed through the App Store and are subject to whatever period and conditions the code was issued with.

If a plan's contents change, the change applies to renewals from that point onward and is described in the App Store before you buy.

The takes you shoot and the loops the app produces from them belong to you. Pentarab does not receive them, claims no licence over them, and has no way to see them. You are responsible for having the right to record and to share the people, places, music and other content that appear in your clips, and for following the law and the rules of wherever you post them.

You agree not to:

• Copy, resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app or its presets and effects.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source of the app, except to the extent the law expressly permits it.
• Work around the watermark, the paid entitlement, or any other limit in the app.
• Use the app to record people without the consent the law of your country requires, or to produce material that is unlawful, harassing, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Pentarab may update, change or discontinue Pizza Cutter, and may add, alter or retire effects and presets. Recording, analysis, export and sharing depend on compatible hardware, the permissions you grant, free storage, iOS services, and third-party destinations such as Instagram, TikTok or Messages, none of which Pentarab controls.

Pizza Cutter is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Pentarab does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a given take will produce a particular edit — the cut follows the movement the app finds in your footage.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pentarab is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost or corrupted recordings, for a clip that failed to render or save, or for what happens to a clip or a recipe link after you choose to share it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them takes away a consumer right you have under the law of the country you live in.

How the app handles your footage and what usage data it collects is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which Pentarab operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and without depriving you of the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

These terms may be updated; the revised version is posted on this page with a new date above, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept it.
