Hangul Was Designed to Be Learnable
Korean writing is not an accident of history. It was invented in 1443 with a documented logic: consonants are diagrams of where the sound is made, vowels are built from three strokes, and a syllable is those parts stacked into one block. Twenty-four letters and one rule for assembling them.
Korio teaches that logic first, in nine short lessons of about twenty-four minutes, because everything after it assumes you can read. Then it gets out of the way and starts teaching the language.
The Order Is Not Ours
Which words matter, and in what order, is the question every vocabulary app answers badly. Korio does not answer it at all — 국립국어원, Korea’s National Institute of Korean Language, grades 10,635 words and 336 grammar points across the six TOPIK levels, and that grading is the spine of the app. The list is public, the licence permits this use, and the app names it on a Sources screen.
Everything built on top of that list — the English meanings, the example sentences and their translations, the explanations — was written for this app. No dictionary text is reproduced.

Alphabet
Nine lessons that end with you reading a sign. Look-alike letters are taught together, so the extra stroke that means a puff of air is a pattern rather than four separate confusions.
Words
10,635 words on a spaced-repetition schedule, so what you learn on Tuesday comes back on the day it is about to slip. Each one with audio and a sentence using it.
Sound
Why 학교 is not said the way it is written. The standard pronunciation rules applied to real words — and where a rule cannot be settled with certainty, the app shows nothing rather than a guess.
Grammar
Why 덥다 becomes 더워요. The seven irregular classes, four speech levels and the particles that change shape, with every step of the derivation shown.
