Privacy Policy — Android

This policy covers the Android version of Kkumi distributed on Google Play. The iOS version is a separate build with a separate policy — see the Kkumi Privacy Policy for iOS.

Your photos and everything you make stay on your device. Kkumi has no account, nothing to sign in to, and no server of ours holding your photos. The only thing that leaves the phone is the pseudonymous usage analytics described below.

Kkumi does not browse your gallery. When you add a photo, the Android system photo picker opens as a separate screen, and only the photos you choose are handed to the app. Because of that, Kkumi asks for no photo, media, or storage permission.

Background removal runs on your device. Your photo is not uploaded anywhere to be processed.

• The carousel, four-cut, and diary documents you are working on — the photos you added, the text you typed, and the stickers, shapes, and backgrounds you arranged
• App settings and your subscription entitlement

All of it lives in Kkumi's own private storage, where no other app can read it. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data from Android Settings > Apps > Kkumi > Storage, deletes it. There is no copy on a server, so there is nothing for us to keep or hand over.

Saving a finished image writes it to your device's gallery, and tapping share hands it to the Android share sheet. You choose where it goes — Kkumi does not upload anything.

To understand how the app is used and to improve it, Kkumi sends usage events to an analytics service that Pentarab runs itself. It is not Google Analytics, and the data is not passed on to any third party. The events record which screens you open and which features you use — choosing a template, adding a photo, adding a sticker, exporting, and so on. This is the complete list of what that service receives:

• The app identifier, the platform, and the app version and build number.
• An install identifier — a random value the app generates on first launch. It is not derived from your device, your Google account, or any advertising identifier, and reinstalling the app produces a new one.
• A session identifier, so one run of the app can be told apart from the next.
• Screen names, and how long each screen was open. The duration is measured from a matching open and close, not guessed from the gap between events.
• The UTC time of each event, plus your time-zone offset so local time can be reconstructed.
• Device information: the operating system and its version, the screen size, and the locale. The device model is not sent.
• A country. This is worked out by the receiving server from the connection itself — the app never sends it, and it is country-level only.

The service does not store your IP address. It is read only to derive the country and is then discarded. It collects no advertising identifier, no precise location, and no personal identifier such as a name, email address, or phone number. Nothing you create or enter in Kkumi is part of an analytics event.

Your photos, the text you type, and your document names are not carried in any analytics event. The values recorded are screen names and feature names only, and because Kkumi has no account, nothing in this data identifies you.

Kkumi has no ads, does not use your information for advertising, and does not provide it to data brokers. It uses no crash reporter and no performance monitoring.

Kkumi is free to download, and the premium features are opened by subscription. Payment is handled by Google Play Billing. Pentarab never receives or stores your card details, your Google account details, or your billing address. There is no server of ours that validates receipts — Google Play confirms your entitlement and it is applied on the device.

Kkumi does not request camera, microphone, photo, storage, location, contacts, or calendar permission. The system photo picker handles photos on its behalf, so no permission is needed.

The one permission the app requests is notifications, for a nudge to come back and make something again. It is asked once, on the first launch after an install or an update, and is not asked again if you decline. Declining leaves every other feature working exactly as it did. The notification is a local one scheduled on the device, so there is no push server and nothing leaves the phone because of it. You can turn it off in Settings, or revoke the permission from Android Settings > Apps > Kkumi > Notifications.

• Your work is only on your device, and you can delete individual documents inside the app.
• Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data from Android Settings > Apps > Kkumi > Storage, removes everything the app holds.
• Images you already saved to your gallery are separate — delete those in your gallery app.
• Analytics data is tied to an identifier that is generated at random for each install and is never displayed anywhere in the app. There is therefore no way to find one user’s records and delete them, and we do not offer a deletion request path. Uninstalling the app stops the collection, and reinstalling it creates a new identifier that is not connected to the old one.

Kkumi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us so we can address it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
