Privacy Policy

Pentarab built SnoreMeter, an overnight snore recorder for iPhone. The short version is simple: the recording stays on your device. SnoreMeter does not upload audio, has no server of its own for your nights, and does not require an account.

SnoreMeter asks for microphone access to record the night. The audio is analysed on your iPhone with Apple's on-device sound classifier to find stretches of snoring and sleep talk. The recording, the per-night analysis, the clips and the tags you add are stored only in the app's own folder on your device.

• Audio is never transmitted to Pentarab or to any third party.
• Nothing is analysed in the cloud; there is no speech-to-text and no transcription of sleep talk.
• You can delete any night, or every night, from the app. Deleting the app removes everything.
• You can change microphone access at any time in iOS Settings; without it the app cannot record.

If Pentarab's Coda app is installed on the same iPhone, the two apps share a small amount of data through an Apple App Group on the device: Coda's lesson dates and streak, and SnoreMeter's last thirty nightly summaries (date, snoring time, score). This exchange never leaves the device and involves no server. Without Coda, nothing is shared.

SnoreMeter sends pseudonymous usage information to an analytics service Pentarab runs itself — it is not Google Analytics, and the data is not passed on to any third party — such as screens viewed, whether a night was started or finished, and whether a purchase completed, together with an install identifier the app generates at random on first launch. Analytics never includes audio, clips, scores, tags, or information that directly identifies you.

This data is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites and is not used for advertising. The receiving server records a country from the connection itself and does not store your IP address.

SnoreMeter is a paid app. The optional SnoreMeter Pro subscriptions and the one-time Pro purchase are sold and processed by Apple. Pentarab does not receive or store your payment card details. The app checks your App Store entitlement to unlock Pro features, supports restoring purchases through Apple, and can redeem Apple offer codes; redemption is handled by the App Store.

The bedtime reminder is off by default. If you turn it on, the app asks for notification permission and schedules a local notification on your device. No push service is involved.

• SnoreMeter has no account, sign-up, profile, or social feature.
• SnoreMeter contains no third-party advertising.
• SnoreMeter does not access the advertising identifier and does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
• SnoreMeter does not sell personal information or share it with data brokers.

SnoreMeter is a wellness recorder, not a medical device. Its scores are estimates from the iPhone microphone. It does not read from or write to Apple Health, and its data is not shared with any clinician or insurer.

SnoreMeter does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It has no accounts, public posting, messaging, or advertising.

If SnoreMeter changes how it handles information, this policy and its date will be updated before that change ships.
