Tools
- Batch 2 (engine t2.2): pouring stick, drips, soak-stain on raw canvas, paper collage, metal leaf, blotting. Raw canvas added to the surfaces.
- Batch 3 (engine t2.3): a transparent glaze layer on bristle brushes, a fine dotter.
- A painter's name removed from a tool label.
Form recipes (form.md)
- A value ladder, and tables of brush, paint, pressure and passes for spheres, cylinders, boxes, ovoids, large areas, edges and cast shadows. Every stroke tested on the engine.
- Rules from the trials: tone the ground first, one colour per strip, a blending brush over every join, lens-shaped cast shadows, no patching.
- Result: sphere and egg close to the stand render. Bottle (stripes, collapsing shoulder), box (halo) and large cylinder weak.

Thirty style pages
- Classical and 19th century, 10 (grisaille, verdaccio, tonalism, sfumato, impressionism and others); early 20th century, 10 (expressionism to constructivism); post-war and contemporary, 10 (colour field, hard-edge, op art, minimalism, pop, stencil, photorealism, action painting and others).
- Each page: settings tested on the real tools, and what the Eye judges the result by.
- No style is required and nothing applies one. No people's names on the pages.
- Weak pages reworked: impressionism (hit the stroke limit; rewritten around 1,500 touches); grisaille, verdaccio, tonalism, expressionism and analytic cubism (retested with the glaze layer).

Four samples and one rerun (mid-size Director and Eye, small Hand)

Measured
- 564 tests and 90 hash checks across three browsers pass.
Problems and fixes
| problem | fix |
|---|---|
| Gold leaf wrinkled too much; blotting came out like a maze | tuned before paintings used them |
| Pouring stick looked like glossy tube paint, with no spatter | flat enamel skin, uneven width, pools and spatter |
| No way to lay a transparent film with a brush (needed for glazing styles) | glaze layer on bristle brushes |
| Self-portrait submitted at 456 of 1,500 planned strokes with three blocking faults open. The Eye had named all three; the Director accepted them after two failed fixes | cause: the crew rule "acceptable after two fix rounds" overrode the block. New rule: no block is accepted while strokes remain; a method that fails twice is replaced; remaining stages continue |

Open
- The rerun self-portrait passed, but head and neck don't connect.
- Bottle, box and large-cylinder form.
- Names converge: three of this round's four painters chose "Ochre Lane".
