These terms cover the Android version of DripLine distributed on Google Play. The iOS version has separate terms — see DripLine Terms of Service. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms.
Not a Medical Device
DripLine is a calculation aid and a timer. It is not a medical device, it is not a substitute for clinical judgement, and it does not connect to or control any infusion pump.
Every rate the app produces must be independently verified against your institution's protocol, the prescription, and the administration set in use before it is applied to a patient. Drop factors vary between manufacturers and sets. You remain solely responsible for the care you deliver.
The app's timers depend on Android delivering a notification on time. Battery optimisation, Doze mode, a device restart, force-stopping the app, or a denied alarm permission can delay or suppress an alert. Never rely on DripLine as the only check on an infusion. Observe the patient and the line directly.
If you have or suspect a clinical problem, follow your institution's escalation procedure.
Who May Use It
DripLine is intended for qualified healthcare professionals and for students under supervision. It is not intended for patients or for the general public to manage their own treatment.
