Need help with Dazzle Cam? Most questions are answered below — and the Handbook inside the app (Settings → Handbook) explains every control and the photography behind it. For anything else, we read and answer every email.

• Where do my pictures go? Into your iPhone’s photo library, like the built-in camera. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.
• How do I shoot in auto? Set the mode wheel to AUTO. Every dial still shows what the camera chose, and you can take any of them over by turning it.
• How do I change the film? Tap the CAMERA · FILM mount at the bottom left and pick a look. Nine looks are free; Pro unlocks all 66. A Pro look can be mounted and previewed; the shutter is where Pro is asked for.
• How do I put a filter on the lens? Press and hold the LENS mount. The filter shelf opens over the lens you have on.
• Why is RAW greyed out? RAW is a Pro feature, and ProRAW needs the main camera at 1× and the photo pipeline. With Pro, zoom back to 1× or pick the Wide lens and RAW comes back.
• The picture looks different in the Photos app. Apple Log and HLG movies are recorded flat on purpose, for grading later; the look you saw in the viewfinder is a preview. Set Movie → Format to SDR to bake the look into the file.
• Why is there no silent shutter? In some regions iOS requires the shutter sound; the app follows the system setting.
• What does Pro add? All 66 film looks (nine are free), the lens filters beyond UV, the polariser and ND8, RAW and 48 MP stills, 4K at 60 fps, ProRes, Apple Log and HLG, bracketing, light trails, microphone noise reduction, the depth map and false colour. Every dial and mode, the focus aids, HEIF stills, HD movies and the Handbook are free for everyone.
• I bought Pro but it is locked on a new device. Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. Pro is tied to your Apple Account.
• How do I cancel a subscription or request a refund? Subscriptions are managed in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• How do I turn off geotagging? Settings → Stills → Location. It is off unless you turned it on.
