Pentarab built Dazzle Cam, a manual film camera for iPhone. The short version is simple: your pictures and videos stay on your device. Dazzle Cam has no account, uploads nothing you shoot, and has no server of its own for your photos.

Dazzle Cam asks for camera access to show the viewfinder and take pictures, microphone access to record sound with your videos, and permission to add to your photo library so what you shoot is saved there. Every film look, lens filter and exposure is computed on your iPhone.

• Photos and videos are saved to your own photo library and nowhere else. Pentarab never receives them.
• Nothing is processed in the cloud; the looks, the RAW files and the Log video are all made on the device.
• The app can read nothing from your library; it only adds what you take.
• You can change camera, microphone and photo access at any time in iOS Settings.

Geotagging is off by default. If you turn it on, the app asks for location access while in use and writes where a picture was taken into that picture's own metadata, the way a camera with GPS does. The location is not sent to Pentarab. Turn it off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.

Pictures carry the usual camera metadata (shutter speed, ISO, lens, the look you used, and the location if geotagging is on). That metadata travels with the file when you share it; the Photos app and most sharing services let you strip it.

Dazzle Cam sends pseudonymous usage information to an analytics service Pentarab runs itself — it is not Google Analytics, and the data is not passed on to any third party — such as screens viewed, which looks and controls are used, and whether a purchase completed, together with an install identifier the app generates at random on first launch. Analytics never includes pictures, video, audio, location, or information that directly identifies you.

This data is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites and is not used for advertising. The receiving server records a country from the connection itself and does not store your IP address.

Dazzle Cam is free to download. The optional Dazzle Cam Pro subscriptions and the one-time Pro purchase are sold and processed by Apple. Pentarab does not receive or store your payment card details. The app checks your App Store entitlement to unlock Pro, supports restoring purchases through Apple, and can redeem Apple offer codes; redemption is handled by the App Store.

• Dazzle Cam has no account, sign-up, profile, or social feature.
• Dazzle Cam contains no third-party advertising.
• Dazzle Cam does not access the advertising identifier and does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
• Dazzle Cam does not sell personal information or share it with data brokers.

Dazzle Cam does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It has no accounts, public posting, messaging, or advertising.

If Dazzle Cam changes how it handles information, this policy and its date will be updated before that change ships.
